Automotive dealership service deparment – makeover!

Dealers choose to upgrade and renovate their shop departments – on their own.  Easy, less-costly and the end-result is a fantastic service department!

Skyline Ford in Salem, Oregon recently contacted AutoStone Floor Systems to upgrade both their service drive and shop area to better reflect the Ford brand image.  Leon Adams, General Manager for Skyline managed the process himself.

Initially, the dealership limited the diy (do it yourself) project to include using AutoStone to resurface their 40+ year old sealed concrete floor and new shop lights.  Both vendors were listed in the Fordland DID book for reference.  However, after the first week of the AutoStone Floor System installation, the transformation was greater than they expected.

“The new floor had a dramatic impact on the service department.  We quickly saw how good looking this floor was.  We decided that we should add new paint to the renovation budget and we contacted a local painting contractor.  They added paint to the walls and ceiling along with the planned lighting and floor system,” said Leon.

“All of this was done on the construction timeline provided by AutoStone that outlined the installation process so we never shut down service operations, while we continued to service our customers.”

“Our customers, employees and ownership could not be happier.  Doing it ourselves was an easier process than we thought.  AutoStone helped us through the whole process.  Just look at the before and after pictures – they say it all!”
